Honda is a well-known Japanese car manufacturer company in the automobile industry. A few days ago, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) launched its new crossover SUV Honda HRV 2022, in Pakistan to compete with it as the second generation. Still, Honda was introduced in Pakistan as the first generation. It is the second generation worldwide, but Honda was the first generation of Pakistani HR-V in Pakistan. This HR-V is identical to the Japanese Honda Vezel hybrid, but there are some changes, like the front grille and non-hybrid.
This car was locally assembled and came with two variants; Honda HR-V VTi 2023 and Honda HR-V VTi-S 2023. Both variants come with a 1498 cc engine and CVT Automatic transmission. It is related to mention that HR-V (Vezel) already has a big market in our country. The people have imported many hybrids, so this new variant will make a good market in its segment. Other companies like KIA, Hyundai, MG, and Proton have already launched their crossover SUVs and succeeded in the Pakistan market with a 5% to 20% increase in 3 years.

Ulta-Modern Exterior
The exterior look of the new HR-V 2023 is lovely and practical. This subcompact crossover SUV has a simple style, making it look more elegant. The grille of the VTi-S is a piano body colour. At the same time, the (VTi) has a black painted grille with a horizontal strip, giving a modern and unique bonnet line that connects both carries on to the side-line and touches backlight.
Clean body /character lines also make the car look more luxurious, which we can see in German cars like AUDI SUVs. The unseen rear door handle increases its side view more while the bonnet is on its backside wide and low, and the backlights (LED) are glossy. Both taillights are joined through a shiny line to the company’s centre.
Impressive Interior
The interior of the new Honda HR-V is classy, well-crafted, and spacious. The dashboard of this car is a little bit, giving the driver more visibility the driver. Essential control is within the driver’s easy reach, which is very comfortable. Another better change in HR-V’s design is the L-shaped AC vents that provide the interior with a more futuristic and modern look. The car’s rear seats car is more reclined, giving more comfortable even for a long journey.
The legroom and shoulder space of the car is enough on the rear side. The seat stuff used is up of fabric, while in VTi-S, it is e up of leather. Honda has done a great job by providing a silver colour touch on some parts that look more delightful because of its black interior. Rear USB ports and wireless charger is provided only in the VTi-S variant. The 8-inch touch screen is placed in the centre of the dashboard. The gear console of the car has a black piano finish, which is also seen in other parts like AC controls and steering wheel buttons.
Powerful Engine
Both variants of HRV 2023 come with four cylinders, 16 Valve, DOHC i-VTEC with displacement size 1498 cc, which produces maximum output of 119hp @6600 rpm at a torque of 145NM @4300 rpm. The fuel supply system in HRV VTi and VTi-S is Electronic fuel injection (PGM-FI).

The rivals of HR-V in Pakistan are Kia Sportage, Peugeot 2008, Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70, MGHS, and Suzuki Vitara.

Honda HR-V 2023 is launched in two different variants. The price of the VTi variants is PKR 7,199,000, whereas the price of the VTi-S variant is 7,399,000. The cost of this car seems reasonable compared to other brands available in the Pakistani market. I hope this price strategy of Honda will help them to compete with its rivals and increase the sale of this vehicle in a reasonable time.
